Bike Buddy Community Awareness Event and Adaptive Ride

Loading Events

Join us for a Bike Buddy Program community awareness event.  We are excited to continue this initiative in collaboration with the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority (LHVA), expanding upon their already existing Bike Share program.  Through the Bike Buddy Program, individuals are able to sign up for an appointment where a volunteer will help the individual and a buddy become more comfortable with using the adaptive cycling equipment available through the Bike Share program.

We encourage you to come to this event to learn more about the programs and check out all of the equipment that is available (More information here).  We will have volunteers on hand to go over the equipment options.  They can also assist with going for a short ride, if you’d like, and you can sign up for a Bike Buddy session while you’re there.  For those who are interested, we will be going on a group ride with the adaptive equipment at 12:30.  Assistance will be available.  There is no cost to attend this event and light refreshments will be provided.

In order to help coordinate the event, we request that you RSVP Here by May 1st, if possible.

Thank you to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority and the Scranton Area Community Foundation for supporting and making this event and program possible!
