Wyoming Valley Run/Handcycle Race

Welcome to NEPA’s flattest and fastest inclusive road race! The Wyoming Valley Run, presented by Allied Services, is coming on Sunday, September 1, 2024. This 10-mile road race stretches from Pittston to Wilkes-Barre, featuring some of the Valley’s best views along the way.

I AM is proud to support this race, its spirit of inclusivity, and the handcycling division. We are hoping to have a strong showing from the adaptive cycling community and encourage you to give the race a try. Participants in this race can use standard handcycles. Handcyclists using e-assist bikes are allowed to enter but are not eligible for cash prizes. I AM does have a few handcycles that can be borrowed if you do not have your own and wish to participate in this race.

There will be a pre-race expo taking place on Saturday August 31st, from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Mohegan Pennsylvania (1280 PA 315, Wilkes Barre, 18702). Race participants are required to pick up their race packets at the expo during this time. Each participant gets a registration goodie bag, an official race hoodie, a finishing medal, and will be granted access to a post-race party at Mohegan Pocono. There will also be cash prizes for the top two finishers in the handcycle division. First place will receive $300; second place will receive $150; and third place will receive $100.

In order to support this race and encourage participation, we are offering a coupon code worth $40 off race registration for the first 10 handcycle race participants, bringing the race entry fee down from $85 to $45. The code to receive this discount is IAM2024. If you are interested in this race and have questions, or need to borrow a handcycle, please reach out to us at joe.s@individualabilities.org.
